Cold Weather to Return in Capital

trainNew Delhi, Wednesday, December 28 – People of Delhi-NCR are heaving a sigh of relief since sunny days greeting them after coldest day of the season on Christmas day. Sunlight wasn’t expected when cold waves and wintry feel all of a sudden changed weather conditions of the metro city.

Recent reports suggest that weather is to take a U-turn in the coming days, making mercury fall considerably, spreading the chill. Partly overcast sky was noticed today, dimming sunshine to a certain extent for some time. Weathermen predict a bit of chill to be back into the city soon. Wind will blow at a speed of 11 km per hour.

As of Wednesday, maximum temperature is to be observed 23 degree Celsius, while minimum temperature 9 degree Celsius. This is to stay same by the end of this week. Weather in the surroundings is to remain comforting but similar predication can’t be done for next month. Mercury is anticipated to dip further. The period of soothing winter is allowing people be ready with all measures to beat the chill.

People will wake up to mornings that may be full of brightness for some more days. On one hand, people in the national capital are enjoying pleasant climate, while on the other hand, several cities of Uttar Pradesh are facing fog blanket. Sealdah-Ajmer Express derailment near Kanpur early today and smog are the key cause behind cancellation of a few trains on Monday.
