The Continents States University appoints Dr. Henry Oh as the dean for the College of Health Sciences and Professions.

The Continents States University has announced the appointment of Dr. Henry Oh as, the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Professions (pro bono). Dr. Henry Oh is the perfect choice for this highly responsible position, with more than 18 years of professional experience in various leadership roles in health sciences, education, and clinical practice.

“We are happy to announce the designation of Dr. Henry Oh as the dean of the College of Health Sciences and Professions,” says the spokesperson for The Continents States University. “Dr. Oh has served in several important positions in the field of health sciences. His assigned role will help us serve the students community better by leveraging his immense experience.”

Dr. Oh is a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Neonatal Pediatric Specialty, Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist, Chartered Biologist and Chartered Scientist (U.K.), and a Board-Certified Mental Health Coach. 

He is also a Fellow of the Association of Clinical Scientists, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology in the U.K., a Fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology in Japan, and a Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care. He is an MSI Fellow and Six Sigma Champion certification holder. He is one of the national recipients to receive the Continuous Improvement Professional Award from MSI in November 2022.

Dr. Henry was recognized as U.S. Professor of the Year in Health Sciences in 2020.  He has won several awards for his contribution to his field of expertise. They include:

  • 2013 Master Teacher of Honor from Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education.
  • 2014 Editor of the Year from the American Medical Technologists.
  • 2017 Outstanding Achiever in Medicine and Allied Sciences from the Asian Pacific Excellence Awards.

Dr. Henry Oh is currently the Executive Director and Department Chair of Health Occupations at the College of Technology at Idaho State University, with a full clinical professor faculty rank.
